Team “Snappie”

“Snappie” the Robot won the silver medal in the end of the year competition.  In order to navigate, he utilizes a combination of a “bug –2” and “bug-0” wall following to avoid obstacles.  The ball collecting device opens the “mouth” only when a golf ball is being pursued.  A “tongue” inside of the mouth flips between two settings depending on the color of the golf ball in order to keep the two types separate. 


Given the course above, Snappie was able to hit all 5 checkpoints.  He was also able to accurately calculate the position of all 5 golf balls and pick them all up! (below)
