Obstacle Recognition

Side ladar readings are used to detect obstacles. The difference in x-values or the difference in y-values along with the direction of the robot are used to determine if the robot is looking at a horizontal wall or vertical wall. This data is stored in two 11 by 11 arrays. Consecutive wall readings cause an object to be detected and it's centroid is calculated and sent to Visual Basic.
